The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of The Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500.

The Town of Amherstburg is seeking proposals from qualified professionals for the provision of services as the Integrity Commissioner for the Town of Amherstburg. The Integrity Commissioner will be responsible for administering the Code of Conduct for Members of Council and Local Boards and conducting investigations in an independent and neutral manner in accordance with the accountability and transparency provisions of the Municipal Act, 2001. 

The Town reserves the right to make the resulting agreement available to other municipalities, local boards, public agencies, and broader public-sector organizations.  Such organizations may, at their sole discretion and with the agreement of the successful proponent, purchase goods and/or services under the same terms, conditions, specifications, and pricing as established through this Request for Proposal.

Participation by any such organization shall be independent of the Town and shall not create any contractual obligation, liability, or responsibility between the Town and the participating organization.

The successful proponent shall extend the submitted pricing, terms, and conditions to participating organizations for contracts entered into on or before December 31, 2026.  No minimum volume of work or expenditure is guaranteed by the Town or any participating organization.
