The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of The Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500. The Town of Amherstburg wishes to construct various municipal infrastructure to service the Southeast Quadrant, where proposed residential development is to take place. The Southeast Quadrant is the section of Amherstburg along Lowes Sideroad, 2nd Concession, and Fryer Street. The Phase 1 infrastructure works will be constructed on Fryer Street between Lowes Sideroad and Simcoe Street, on Lowes Sideroad between County Road 20 and Meloche Road, on 2nd Concession south of Lowes Sideroad, and on a private parcel of land south of Lowes Sideroad, to be facilitated by an agreement between the Town and the Owner/Developer of the private lands. The work in Phase 1 consists generally of the suppling of all materials, labour and equipment for the construction of new gravity sanitary sewers, new watermains, one new sanitary pumping station, and new sanitary forcemain. The scope of work includes all associated maintenance holes, valves, fittings, hydrants, sanitary and water service connections, and connections to existing watermains and sewers. The work also includes complete surface restoration, all as specified in the Contract Drawings and Specifications. |
