| Description: |
The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of The Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500. The Town of Amherstburg is issuing this tender for shoreline restoration improvements to the property located along the Detroit River at 290, 296 and 306 Dalhousie Street. The scope of work includes but is not limited to construction of new rock revetment wall and steel sheet pile walls, removal of existing marina piles and decking, as well as selected tree removal in the current King’s Navy Yard Park in order to stabilize the shoreline. This project encapsulates work required to stabilize the shoreline and is the first step in extending King’s Navy Yard Park South as envisioned in the 2019 Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. See the detailed special provisions section of this tender and attached drawings for more details on project scope. |
