The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of The Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500. The Town of Amherstburg wishes to remove completely and replace an existing single span bridge (steel with concrete deck) at Sucker Creek on Concession 8. The work shall include the removal of the existing deck, abutment, wing walls and surrounding pavement structure and replaced with new. The Town is re-issuing this tender due to a budget exceedance on the original tender. The intent of this tender is to allow for the contractor to select when the bridge replacement will be completed in 2024. We are allowing flexibility for the contractor with respect to scheduling. The only time restriction will be that no ‘in water’ work can be completed between March 15th and July 15th. |
