The Town of Amherstburg is located in Southwestern Ontario, approximately 30 kilometers southwest of the City of Windsor and is one of seven lower‐tier municipalities in the County of Essex. The current population of the Town of Amherstburg is just over 23,500.

The Town of Amherstburg is inviting qualified contractors to submit tenders for infrastructure upgrades at the intersection of Simcoe Street and Meloche Road. The scope of work includes the installation of new concrete curbs, construction of accessible sidewalks, and the implementation of traffic-calming measures such a concrete median to enhance pedestrian safety and improve overall traffic flow at this key intersection.
